Rebounding

rebounding is important at all positions. Rebounding is important because like I said in most of my post it creates opportunities on the fast breaks either giving your teammates easy points or creating the fast break yourself. Do your best to look for the open teammate no matter who gets the rebound.

Team Chemistry

If your coach hasn't taught you already team chemistry is the most important when comes down being on a team. its what drives you to want to get better. when your teammate knows you have his or her back any game is guaranteed a victory. Team chemistry is when the whole team comes together after a tough loss. You hold each team mate up during those hard times. The stronger the bond between you and your team is, the harder you are to beat during games. You have to know that your team is like your family. You have your fair share of arguments and disagreements, but you care for each other anyway. Be sure to keep this mind and this goes for every team basketball or not.

Passing

Passing is another important fundamental. one that requires good vision and decision making and accuracy.

Hustle

hustle is the most important whether it be on offense or defense. hustle leads to points, steals, blocks, fast breaks, etc. hustle is important throughout the whole game. Without hustle you're just another out player on the court. hustle shows how much you care about your teammates and how much chemistry you have with them. hustle creates opportunities for you and the team.

Step 3:defense

The thing you need to know about defense is that defense creates offense. the better your defense, the more options you have on offense. defense changes the outcome of many games. Such as NBA finals, the game ending defense changes the way you play because its more intense. just remember the better the defense the better the offense.

Fastbreak

Fast breaks typically occur from playing good defense. whether it be a steal or block or even coming from a good outlet pass. Fast break points are the easiest points to get because you're in the open court. there is typically a lot more space and less defense so those should be easy buckets for you unless you have somebody chasing down for a block, then you have to find a way to create contact for a foul. Just know fast breaks points are the easiest points to get in the open court utilize it every time you get the chance.

Play Call

Play call is really crucial during the game because if you don't have any plays on offense or defense, then you are basically rolling with the punches. This you can credit the coach for, this is his or her job to do. Making plays or calling plays usually confuses the defense(if you choose the right play). Defensive plays could set up a fast break, which I will talk about next. The point is without play call you are just throwing cards out. make sure you know them and run them back to back.

step 2:jumpshot

After developing ball handling, you then need to develop a consistent jump shot. Notice I said "consistent" because you may have a jump shot, but its not consistent. The more consistent it is the better. The easiest way to find a jump shot for me was doing some dribble moves and combining those into the shot. This will help you get comfortable taking a shot off the dribble.

step 1: dribbling

The most important thing in basketball is ball handling especially those at the point or shooting guard positions. Ball handling should always come first before anything else. The better you are at ball handling the more you can handle defensive pressure. If you look at the great Allen Iverson or the up and coming Kyrie Irving, you will see how crucial ball handling is.
